Blades Gone Wild: Beckwith Covert Liberty Edition

The focus of today’s review is the Beckwith Covert 01 Liberty Edition—a striking blade finished in bold red, white, and blue, echoing the spirit of the American flag. Not only is this knife visually patriotic, but it also features thoughtful design details that set it apart.

Upon opening the package, I was immediately impressed with the attention to detail. Included in the box were: the blade itself, a user manual, patch, sticker, plastic army man, bandage, a copy of the Constitution, a snack stick, and a Fisher-branded drawstring bag. Each blade also comes with a product card documenting the model, batch number, steel type and hardness, finish, sharpening, assembly, and final inspection—an excellent touch that reflects Fisher Blades’ commitment to quality craftsmanship.

While the Beckwith Covert is among the smaller blades Fisher Blades produces, it should not be underestimated. Compact yet powerful, it feels secure in the hand and performs a wide range of tasks with ease. Its balance allows for smooth handling, and its razor-sharp edge has cut through multiple materials with little effort. This blade truly lives up to its name.

The sheath and discreet carry clip design make everyday carry remarkably comfortable. Whether doing yard work or home improvement projects, the knife stayed secure and unobtrusive—I often forgot I was carrying it at all. For those seeking a fixed-blade alternative to a folder, the Beckwith Covert is an excellent choice.

This knife is well-suited to both smaller and larger hands, making it versatile and accessible for a wide range of users.
